1. Grammar, anyone (uniquement en anglais)
I have some work, on diskette that needs to be reviewed for English grammar and flow among a collection of instructional articles. Though I like to do this type of work, I just don't have the time. If someone would like to take on this project so that FCA can publish this work, I would be grateful. FCA would, ofcourse, acknowledge your editorial contributions on the publications. Contact Kathy at the national office if you would like to volunteer. Thanks.

2. Yukon News (uniquement en anglais) By Rick Dale
Just received the weekly update. Thought I'd take a minute to give you the Yukon Update. As of last night, (our annual AGM), Malcolm Florence, Bill Johnston & myself have taken a back seat from the management & operation of the club. We are the only three surviving founding members and have decided we would like to be shooting members versus organizers and the core volunteer group.
You may recognize the name of one of the new executive. Vic Boutillier is our new president. I think the Club will be in good hands and we will hang around to be sure the history is passed on to the new executive.
Thanks for all your help. I know I've threatened before, but perhaps on my next business trip to Ottawa, we can finally meet after all the years.
Thanks again. Rick

6. A meeting with the Secretary of State for Amateur Sport by FCA Vice-President Bruce Savage (le français suit)
A meeting with the Secretary of State for Amateur Sport by FCA Vice-President Bruce Savage / une réunion avec M. Denis Coderre soumis par M. Bruce Savage vice-président de la FCA
The meeting this weekend with the Secretary of State (Amateur Sport) Denis Coderre, was very inspiring. I believe there is an honest commitment on his part to politicize the need for more funding for amateur sport in Canada. The vision is focused at all levels of sport from grassroots to high performance. At the meeting were senior volunteers from the 70 + NSO's as well as representatives from the MSO's. Three small group discussion panels organized on topics ranging from ethics in sport to participation in sport. NSO volunteers had a chance to talk informally to each other and to share ideas related to NSO organization to funding and resource issues. Perhaps I found it to be especially inspiring since it was the first time I have had the opportunity to take part in this kind of conference. But most of the NSO reps. that have been at similar events in the past were also encouraged by the sincerity and enthusiasm that Denis Coderre has for the promotion of Sport in Canada.
His leadership on this issue does come with a price. He has made it clear that the NSO's must take ownership and responsibility to politicise the need for changes to sport funding in Canada. He has asked - challenged - the NSO's to make their membership politically active in lobbying local, provincial and national politicians to make amature sport a higher priority. The ball is in our court!
