As soon as they are available, they will be posted on the web site. Criteria for 2002 junior worlds, Championship of the Americas and 2003 indoor worlds will be listed as soon as possible.
Good luck to FCA Athlete Rep Shawn Riggs who is moving to Banff, Alberta for at least the next 6 months. He will advise us when his e-mail is working again.

Minister of Canadian Heritage, Sheila Copps, together with Sue Hylland, Executive Director of the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity (CAAWS), today announced that the Government of Canada will provide $200,000 for two important Canadian women and sport and physical activity initiatives.
The Government of Canada will provide $150,000 for the development of a Canadian Strategy for Girls & Women through Physical Activity and Sport. The other $50,000 will support a National Conference on Women, Sport and Physical Activity, to be held in Hamilton in November 2002. Both of these initiatives will be the Canadian legacies of the upcoming World Conference on Women in Sport, taking place in Montreal from May 16 to 19, 2002.
"Both, the Canadian Strategy for Girls & Women through Physical Activity and the Hamilton conference will be important legacies of the upcoming World Conference on Women and Sport in Montreal, said Minister Copps. These initiatives will demonstrate Canada’s ongoing leadership in the area of women and sport, at home and abroad."
"It was important to us that we see a legacy from the World Conference in Montreal next May," outlined Sue Hylland. "We want to continue the momentum from the World conference here in Canada and mobilize our sport, physical activity and health leaders to take action. We look forward to doing that at the national conference on Women and Sport and Physical Activity to be held next November in Hamilton."
The World Conference on Women and Sport in Montreal will bring together approximately 500 international delegates from around the world interested in sport and in the general advancement of the status of women. They will come together to discuss issues relating to women in sport, to report on progress since the Second World Conference in Namibia in 1998, and to chart future plans. The conference will be led by the International Working Group on Women and Sport and hosted by the Government of Canada.

La ministre du Patrimoine canadien, Sheila Copps, et Mme Sue Hylland, directrice générale de l'Association canadienne pour l'avancement des femmes, du sport et de l'activité physique (ACAFS) ont annoncé aujourd'hui que le gouvernement du Canada versera 200 000 $ à deux importantes initiatives touchant les Canadiennes, le sport et l'activité physique.
Le gouvernement du Canada versera 150 000 $ pour appuyer l'élaboration d'une stratégie canadienne pour la pratique du sport et de l'activité physique par les filles et les femmes. Un montant de 50 000 $ servira à l'organisation d'une conférence nationale sur les femmes, le sport et l'activité physique, qui aura lieu en novembre 2002 à Hamilton. Ces deux initiatives canadiennes s'inscrivent dans le cadre de la prochaine conférence mondiale sur les femmes dans le sport qui aura lieu à Montréal, du 16 au 19 mai 2002.

MICA INFORMATION
Eligibility:
Archers in good standing with a National Archery Federation, which (the N.A.F.) is a current member of COPANARCO, are eligible to shoot the Multi-sites Indoor Archery Championships of Americas. These archers can shoot at any approved site throughout the Archery Region of Americas.
Distance.
The event consists of the 18 meter FITA Indoor Round, i.e. two (2) rounds of thirty (30) arrows each, totaling sixty (60) arrows.
Classes.
In each of the two (2) equipment divisions (see below), there are five (5) age categories in each gender:
Cub - Cadet - Junior - Senior - Master.
Therefore there are a total of twenty (20) classes.

Age categories.
All age categories are based on the archer's age on January 1 of the year of the Multi-sites Indoor Championship of the Americas.
* Cub = 13 or under
* Cadet = 14 and 15

* Senior = 18 to 48
* Master = 49 or over (minimum 50 years old in 2001).

The County Association Archery of the ´ Haut-Rhin ª is looking for a professional technician in archery. The applicant must be less 27 years old. He or she must have good experience in archery and in competition. We prefer that the applicant is able to speak French. But, if it’s not possible, we provide for a French language training for the future coach.
The missions :
Working with ´ national education system ª , private organisation (Holidays and hobbies centre), coaching county and district team (formation of the young archers), help for the expansion of the local associations, and some interventions for promote the archery in our county.

Le poste est à pourvoir en remplacement d’un cadre ayant choisi d’exercer dans sa région d’origine. La personne retenue viendra compléter l’équipe professionnelle du Comité Directeur qui compte à ce jour (au total) 2 postes de cadres techniques et un poste administratif.
Profil des candidats :
Les candidats devront avoir moins de 26 ans.
Les candidats devront maîtriser l'usage de la langue française.
Les candidats devront avoir une bonne expérience et des connaissances de la pratique de compétition.
Nous souhaitons, de préférence, des candidats titulaires d'un diplôme permettant d'enseigner le tir à l'arc contre rémunération (possibilités d'équivalence avec la France). Dans le cas contraire, une formation devra être envisagée.

Intervention dans le milieu scolaire (écoles primaires, collèges, lycées)
Intervention dans le milieu périscolaire (Contrat d’Education Locaux)
