I would like to thank my faithful translator, Dianne Breault, who sifts through my mistakes every week and tries to teach me the finer points of the French language. I hope I have improved! 1. Sad news/les nouvelles tristes

Bonjour à tous. Désolé encore une mauvaise nouvelle. L'épouse de Gaétan Bertrand, Claudette est décédé l'après midi du 16 decembre à 14 H 30. Elle était hospitalisé depuis plusieurs semaines suite a une anévrisme. Les détails pour les funérailles sont:

Arthur Nault has informed us of Sad news duringt this holiday season. Claudette Betrand, wife of the long-time Quebec volunteer Gaetan, died last Saturday, December 16th. She had been in hosptial the past several weeks after suffering an aneurism. For those able to attend, the funeral is tomorrow between 09:00 and 10:00 at 549 Samuel de Champlain, Boucherville. The FCA wishes to send its condolances to Gaetan and his family at this time.

2. Canada Cup/le tournois la coupe Canada
The FCA is looking for a club to host the 2001 edition of the Canada Cup. The tournament is listed as a major event in the Excellence Programme and must be held in the provinces of BC, Alberta or Saskatchewan. The tournament consists of one FITA 1440 qualification round and 1 elimination round. Is has been held traditionally in the month of May, but this is not compulsory. Any clubs interesting in hosting this event should contact Al Wills at: .

La FCA a besoin de trouver un club qui voudrait tenir le tournois majeur, le coupe Canada de 2001. On doit le tenir en Columbie-Britannique, l'Alberta ou le Saskatchewan. Le tournoi a deux partie, un ronde de qualification FITA 1440 et un ronde d'eliminatoire. On l'a tenu habituellement en mai, mais il n'est pas obligatoire. This is a reminder to all clubs hosting Canbow programmes, mailmatches and the FCA indoor championships. Compound cubs must shoot the inner ten in FCA-sanctioned tournaments.
