5. The President is moving east! Notre president demenagera!
Effective September 5, 2000 Al Wills will be working in Ottawa. He will be in the Ottawa area July 3 house-hunting and then come back again for the nationals in Boucherville, and then make the big move on August 28. I've tried to tell him that he'll have to give up mowing the lawn in February
now, but it didn't seem to bother him. So, to Mary and Al, welcome to the National Capital Region.
6. New club logo - Calgary Archers (via Dianne Dalman)
The new logo is up on the webiste now. For those not in the total know, the kids in the Calgary Archers Club had a contest for their own logo, separte from the Club's. It is now the opening page on their webiste. Check it out! Congrats to the winner, Lindsay Struthers on a fine job, eh?
7. AZ Cup results/resultats
Nothing exciting to report. The last few days have just been practise. We have all been shooting quite well. We've all used the time to perfect a few things. We all took a little time to do some tuning as well. I'm using a program called Target Plot to help me with my shooting. I'm on a free demo version, but I'm pretty sure I'll be spending the $150 when I get home for it.
The weather here has been perfect except for the heat. One day it was 38 in the sun on the field.
Joan and Garry came in yesterday along with Pascal and Kathy with her "giggly girls". We spent yeasterday afternoon hanging out on the pool deck getting tanned. However, we are all still as white as Ghosts. We have official practise tomorrow and then chips are down starting Friday with the long distances.
It has been great to hear back from so of you. We really appreciate the support. Oh and thanks to all of thoughts Waterloo County Bowmen people who put a butt in for me last weekend; I really appreciate the support.
Thanks Shawn Riggs
