4. FITA
Dear archery friend,
We are pleased to announce that the FITA site is back working in a normal way. We are creating, with Worldsport, a site that can be updated as in the past from the FITA office and that is adapted to future development. Some section have undergone serious changes such as the world records which were revitalised thanks to the work and effort of Werner Rau from Germany. We are adding also more and more Acrobat pdf files to the site. This cross platform tool produced by Acrobat, called Acrobat reader enables you to read and print files on a Mac, PC and Unix machine in the same format we have it here in the office. We will evolve more and more using these kind of files and if you need more information I would suggest to look at www.adobe.com
I am also very pleased to inform you that Welzheim will be the first Grand Prix that you will be able to follow live on the internet. A webcast will be produced by the German Schuetzenbund and I strongly recommend you to visit their site at the following times Friday 26th May from 12h20.-18h (GMT+2) Saturday 27th May from 9h - 16h30 Sunday 28th May from 9h-16h30
These will be images with commentary in German. The results can be followed as usual on the archery site of the Schuetzenbund.
Hoping you will enjoy the internet more and more Yours sincerely Tom Dielen

6. Canada Games submission/Application des Jeux Canadiens
Congratulations goes out to Bruce Savage, Vice-President ACC, for his application on FCA's behalf to the Canada Games Council. He has asked for Archery to be returned to the Summer Games Schedule of Events. Extra documents will be needed, no doubt, but FCA hopes to return to the Summer Games in 2005. We must now wait and see which sports the provinces want to include.
Felicitations a Bruce Savage, notre vice-president du comite national. Il a submi notre application des Jeux Canada d'ete au comite des Jeux.
