3. California Cup
One of our top archers had to "work" in California during the Ontario Spring Classic.  It was Hugh MacDonald's good fortune to be able to combine employee appreciation activities with a top archery tournament.  Here's a report from Joan McDonald./Un de notre membre d'Excellence 2000 a fait une combinaison de "travail" et de tir.  Malgre qu'il n'a pas pu tirer le Spring Classic de l'Ontario, il a tire a un autre grand tournoi.  Le rapport de Joan McDonald:

Hugh MacDonald had to work in San Francisco up to and including the Friday before so instead of doing a red eye flight back for the Spring Classic he shot the California Cup instead. Much to his amazement, he won the tournament!!  Needless to say we were all pleased.  It's the first major tournament that he has won and it certainly made him feel good. His FITA was 1249 - a good performance for Hugh, but his FOR scores were steady in the 106 - 107 range and did the job.

The ladies was won by Gina Davis (actress).  They didn't chat much at the tournament, but later at the airport she turned up in the same waiting area as Hugh and he said they talked for about 40 minutes waiting for their flights which he thoroughly enjoyed - he said especially because she is so tall !!

Anyway he had a great time.
