a) FCA Memberships are due/les abonnements de la FCA
With the exception of Excellence 2000 members, life and honorary life members, your FCA membership expires on December 31.  Please get in touch with your provincial membership chairperson.  These people will be sending me disks of 2000 members in the very near future.  Don't miss out.

b) Retailers/Les Detaillants  2000
FCA has received 2 applications for retailer membership so far.  Please note that all 1998 retailers were given a one-year grace period throughout 1999.  Now, if you wish to enjoy discounts on volume sales, or receive third party liability for FCA-affiliated clubs holding events in your lanes, you must join now.  The cost is only $75.00.  Contact the FCA national office for details.

c) Vote
Board of Directors members:  notice.  The deadline date to vote on the 3 issues sent to you is December 20.  I am still missing a couple of provinces.

d) Date for the Canadian National Target/Field Nationals  Le date des championnats 2000
It has been confirmed by the FCA Executive and the host club of Boucherville that the dates for next year's target/field championships will be August 14 to 19, 2000.  An official hotel has not been selected as yet, but there are few hotels in the immediate Boucherville area.  The organizing committee is doing a great job and I am expecting the schedule of events to be published in the next few weeks.  Keep tuned!

Le conseil executif de la FCA et le comite organizateur de Boucherville ont confirme les dates de nos championnats en cible fixe et en parcours.  Entre le 14-19 aout on peut tirer.  Les horaires seront disponibles le plus tot possible.  Faites attention:  il n'y a plusiers d'hotel en Boucherville.

2. Rules/les Regles
Greg Durward, Al Wills and many others have been working quite diligently to revise and standardize the 2000 edition of the FCA rules book.  They would like to thank all those who have participated via e-mail to date.  What they would like to do now is get people involved who do not have e-mail.  If there are persons in your club, not linked to the web, who might wish to review the draft so far in hard copy, please contact Al Wills and give him their names and addresses.  .  A mailer will go out in the new year ONLY to those who are interested.

3. 3D

The minutes of the recent 3D teleconference have been approved and circulated to the FCA Board of Directors and Executive.  Now, the 3D committee will be voting on the rule changes discussed during the meeting.  When these rules have been formally approved by the committee, they will be submitted via the ACC VP Bruce Savage, to the Board for ratification.  Then, the revised rules will appear on the FCA website.  Congratulations go out to Chairman Don Lohnes and his committee for a job well done!

Felicitations aux membres du comite 3D de la FCA!  On a circule le process d'un reunion de telecommunication.  Maintenant, il faut que les membres sanctionnent les nouvelles regles.  Apres le sanctionnement de comite Archey Canada et le conseil des directeurs provinciaux, on va les publier sur le web.

Latest World Ranking Lists/Listes de Classement Mondiale
As the end of the year is rapidly approaching, it is time to look at the evolution of the list over the past year.  Lee Eun Kyung, KOR has been leading the women's list since July 1999.  There has been no change in the leader of the men's list with Lionel Torres, FRA occupying top place since September 1998.  Justin Huish has dropped out of the top 20.

Etant donne que la fin de l'annee approche rapidement, il est temps de se tourner vers l'evolution de la liste durant l'an ecoule.  Lee Eun Kyung, KOR mene la liste feminine depuis juillet 1999.  Aucun changement n'a eu lieu a la premiere place de la liste masculine, toujours occupee par Lionel Torres, FRA depuis septembre 1998.  Justin Huish est descendu au 41eme rang, sortant ainsi du le premier 20.

Enfin/In Closing
Janet Boucher and Janet Gunther SK have sent me some disturbing news.  Archie Lovelace, long-time level 3 coach, fell while visiting his daughter and is in a coma.  Though the doctors are optimistic, he is not out of the woods yet.  He is recuperating at the General Hospital, Regina, SK.  I have no further details.  I am sure I can say that our thoughts are with him, and his family.

Lastly, there has been another death in the archery community, but I only found out today.  Mike Owen (ON) died of cancer in July at the age of 56.  His wife, Karen, has not heard too much from the archery community but has asked Dave Viney to run a memorial tournament.  If you wish to send condolences, or want more details on the tournament, please call Dave at 905-875-2620 (W) or 873-4722.

Malheursement les tristes nouvelles:  un de nos entraineurs de niveau 3 est tombe chez sa fille.  Maintenant, M. Archie Lovelace est dans le coma a l'hopital general de Regina, le SK. Les medicins sont optimistes.  Je n'ai pas autres details.

En suite, un autre membre de notre communaute de tir a l'arc a decede.  Mike Owens, de l'Ontario a eu le cancer.  Il a eu 56 ans.  Son epouse veut que M.
