2. 3D

The 2000 3D nationals will be hosted by Aylmer, Québec. Since FCA's President, Allan Dean, lives in Aylmer, he will be able to update us on this event. Their first meeting will be in October. Les championnats de 3D de l'année 2000 sera hôter par le club d'Aylmer. La première réunion sera en octobre.

3. NAC/CNTA

The 33rd NAC article is a report on a seminar given by Dee Wilde, the '97 World Indoor and Outdoor Compound Male Champion.

This report provides advises from the best current compound male archer about: specific effort, bow hand, release, anchor, draw length, bow weight, string and cables, draw indicators, tiller, wheels timing, nocking point, arrow alignment, wheels alignment, arrow-rest, sight, paper test as well as a description of Dee's equipment for indoor and outdoor. The report is in English only, a volunteer translator would be appreciated.

You can get this report for only $4.50 by regular mail, or $2.70 by E-Mail. These prices include taxes and mailing. Make cheque or money order to FCA. Send your order with full payment to the NAC, and ask for the latest list of NAC articles.

Reminder: From any where you are living you can benefit from the NAC, through its Technical and Training articles, and from the NAC weekly suggestion. The NAC can send to you, every week, training suggestions from September 14, 1998 until July 9, 1999, for only $170 by regular mail, or $145 by E-Mail. Available for any duration from one week to 10 months. Prices include taxes and mailing. Good news! The project of boxing extension in Claude Robillard Sport Complex, which should have reduced the archery shooting distances from 70 meters to 50 meters is postponed AT LEAST until June 1999, IF ANY, the director of CRSC this morning.

4. FITA tournaments/tournois etôiles

ATTENTION CLUBS AND PSO'S:

To register tournament for the Canadian calendar no later than 2 months before our FIRST tournament. All requests, with payment, must be received by DECEMBER 11, 1998 so that Pascal Colmaire can send these requests to FITA.

Please send the registration fee to the Ottawa office. FITA tournaments are $40.00 per round plus GST = $42.80.

5. Board of Directors

Please note that FITA is accepting notices of motion for the upcoming Congress in Riom, France. The deadline for notices of motion from member states is December 2nd. If your province has any concerns in this regard DIRECT YOUR CORRESPONDENCE TO AL WILLS, FCA VP INTERNATIONAL as soon as possible. Recommendations from the Board will be discussed by the Executive, and if necessary, Al Wills will direct a vote by mail for any motions FCA wishes to put forward to Congress.

6. And finally/en fin

Did you ever have one of those weeks where you felt like all you did was spin your wheels but get nowhere? This was one of those weeks. I know I got things done, including a lot of bookkeeping, but when I look at my desk, I don't think I made much of a dent.

Merci/thank you to Oliver Foulkes who came in this week to help with the membership software AGAIN. Next week I hope to get caught up on Alberta and BC requests.
